Our process involves builder pricing sessions with your selected contractor until the design and cost are comfortable.
Builders we work with are known by us to be reliable, proven and experienced in working with us, creating the details and familiar with the manufacturers and materials we utilize.

COLLABORATION

1. Our strength lies in working as a cohesive team environment, focusing on the same principles for each project. PDC's ethos is strong in collaborating with clients/developers and other consultants, utilizing personal client contact to create outstanding project specifics aligned with the proposed architecture; achieving premium results.

PLANNING

2. We have many years of experience in planning and development with corporate organizations, individual residential clients, and hospitality clientele. These relationships have led us to understand the need for a holistic view of total projects; from planning trends, analysis and adjacencies, to a developer's perspective, individual home-owners, and most importantly, consumers' needs and desires.

CONCEPT

3. Once the planning phase has begun, we establish a strong Concept phase, covering all aspects of philosophy, design intent, customization, as well as individualization for each project. This phase enables our clients to see, feel and understand the project we are looking to create with them through simple 3D visualization.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

4. Following the creation of the concept package, PDC takes pride in ensuring all concepts are applicable and achievable through Design Development which involves finalizing design direction with the client project team and nominated builder.

5. PDC takes pride in providing thorough documentation for our projects before construction. This process allows our clients the confidence that cost overruns will not run out of control and play havoc with budgets during the construction process. Our knowledge of detailing and custom joinery across many sectors provides a level of pure satisfaction with our clients and builders with whom we work. Our knowledge of construction ensures that every project is documented to a high level of detail, aiding the bidding and construction process. With vast experience in commercial and residential service, PDC works alongside other consultants to achieve the best possible result for our client.

FINISH SELECTIONS

7. PDC's knowledge of local and international products provide the basis for overall aesthetic on all projects, with initial choices presented as early as concept stage on most projects. The studio's comprehensive resources are essential tools which are implemented on all projects; continually updated with new and inspiring materials and products. We will start the process with a taste test of materials. Then, once we understand the desired material pallet, PDC will orchestrate a few selective pallets for review, so the client does not need to review hundreds of samples on their own.

FURNITURE SELECTION

8. PDC design also provides furniture curation, selection, and procurement service. From planning the furniture for a house, through to a collection of individual pieces and materials, we also customize furniture to suit the interior. Each home is different as is each client and this service is tailored for every client while offering savings to our patrons.
